Job Description
We are seeking high-performing Job Site Laborers and Equipment Operators to join our field response team. These individuals will support salvage, cleanup, demolition, and emergency response operations at job sites across the U.S. This role involves hands-on tasks with damaged grain, structural failures, environmental hazards, and heavy equipment operation. Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, safety-focused, comfortable with travel, and eager to work in a fast-paced disaster response environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with grain salvage, cleanup, and commodity recovery operations at disaster or maintenance job sites.
Perform labor tasks including shoveling, vacuuming, cutting, rigging, debris removal, and structural clearing.
Operate or assist with the operation of heavy equipment such as loaders, skid steers, vac systems, conveyors, or trucks (Class A CDL preferred).
Support emergency response activities, including fires, floods, explosions, bin collapses, and derailments.
Follow all safety procedures, including confined space protocols, air quality monitoring, PPE requirements, and hazard mitigation practices.
Perform basic equipment checks, maintenance tasks, and accurate documentation of materials, labor hours, and site activity.
Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in a mechanical or construction industry role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical processes, techniques, and materials.
Excellent leadership skills.
Willingness to travel up to 150 nights per year with 2-3 week deployments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong work ethic and reliability; ability to work long or irregular hours during emergency deployments.
Mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn specialized equipment used in salvage and recovery operations.
Experience operating heavy equipment; Class A CDL strongly preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel overnight to job sites across the U.S.
Ability to perform physical labor in challenging environments (dust, heat, cold, heights, confined spaces).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to safety and adherence to company protocols and training programs.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $49920.00/yr.
