Die Cutting Machine Operator - Afternoon Shift

In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain die-cutting machines to effectively cut, crease, and shape paperboard and other materials. You will ensure precise output, troubleshoot operational issues, and help maintain production flow. Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately perform make-readies both off-press and on-press.
• Set up and run die-cutting presses in line with job specifications.
• Adhere to detailed procedures and standard operating guidelines.
• Inspect finished items to ensure they conform to quality standards.
• Keep machines in good working order and promptly report mechanical problems.
• Work collaboratively with your team and management to achieve production targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and capacity to recognize material or process changes.
• Mechanical aptitude with effective problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Basic computer literacy and an eagerness to learn new software.
• Fundamental math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
• Ability to meet physical job requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing tasks such as standing, bending, and walking.
• Willingness to work the 2nd Shift (2pm - 10pm, Monday - Friday) with potential for overtime or weekend shifts.
• Completion of up to 120 days of training on 1st Shift (6am-2pm, Monday-Friday) is required.
• Experience with automated die-cutting systems is advantageous but not essential.
