We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of plant machinery and infrastructure. This role is crucial in maintaining productivity and customer satisfaction through effective and timely repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and preventative repairs on plant machinery and infrastructure safely.

• Respond promptly to production supervisor requests during unplanned production line breakdowns.

• Utilize manpower and equipment efficiently to complete repairs swiftly.

• Maintain cleanliness in maintenance and repair work areas.

• Ensure the safe and prudent use of company equipment and tools, implementing Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.

• Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, notifying supervisors for replenishment when needed.

• Utilize the Work Order system to enter and complete work orders as directed.

• Report to the Maintenance Leadman or designated supervisor during off-shifts and weekends.

• Understand and comply with Quality and Environmental Management System principles.

• Communicate daily with Production and Quality Control to resolve issues and achieve company objectives.

Essential Skills

• Experience in maintenance of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and gearboxes.

• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues, including 3-phase systems and PLC troubleshooting.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Strong background in preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in gearbox repair and replacement.

• Proficiency in pneumatic repairs.

• Experience with 3-phase motors and hydraulics.

• Mechanically strong background.

• Welding experience is a bonus.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing/metal coating company. The environment is not climate controlled, requiring a willingness to work in various conditions. The position operates on a day shift with a rotating schedule of 5 days on and 3 days off, from 8 am to 4 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Byram, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $31.00/hr.
