Production Associate

Production Equipment Operator

We are seeking dedicated candidates to operate production equipment, including dryers, baggers, and standardizers. This role involves ensuring the smooth flow of production processes and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the flow of milk from incoming tankers to the drying process.
• Dump powder into batches and communicate with the production department regarding production types and schedules.
• Start up, operate, and clean the standardizer machine.
• Maintain quality and safety standards specific to products and customer requirements.
• Organize and clean the work area and machines.
• Assemble and disassemble pumps.

Essential Skills

• General labor experience and mechanical aptitude.
• Attention to detail.
• Production experience, particularly on production or food lines.
• Basic math skills for batch calculations.
• Ability to lift 50lbs throughout the shift.
• Capability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• High School Diploma.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the food or beverage industry.

Work Environment

Work in a brand-new plant that is vibrant but can become hot and muggy during summer months due to machinery operations. The floor is consistently wet, adhering to FDA regulations with strict GMP protocols. Employees will be provided with smocks, gloves, boots, and hair nets, with a dress code that requires comfortable pants and shirts under the uniform.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DETROIT, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
