CDL Roll-Off Truck Operator

POSITION SUMMARY: As a CDL Roll-Off Truck Operator, you will play a crucial role in providing reliable and efficient waste removal services. Your primary responsibility will be to safely operate a collection truck while delivering exceptional customer service. You will ensure your vehicle adheres to safety standards, comply with all relevant regulations, and conduct daily vehicle condition reports (VCRs) to address any defects promptly.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of your vehicle to verify that safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in good working condition. Report any issues using standard procedures.
• Efficiently navigate your designated route, following maps and service instructions to meet customer needs.
• Utilize truck controls to safely lift and load refuse as well as compact and dispose of waste at designated facilities.
• Engage with customers, dispatchers, and colleagues courteously to ensure timely and professional service.
• Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers in accordance with company protocols.
• Monitor waste materials for compliance with regulations and handle any spills safely and according to safety standards.
• Keep your vehicle clean and operational by regularly checking its condition and addressing any waste accumulations.
• Complete required paperwork, including route/productivity sheets and VCRs, as necessary.
• Meet department productivity standards to guarantee timely service.
• Adhere to all safety policies and participate actively in the Company's ReSOP program.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Exhibit professional customer service skills to exceed customer expectations.
• Utilize good time management to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Demonstrate thoroughness in following company policies and promoting safety standards.
• Take pride in your work, striving to meet all performance goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Possession of a Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement.
