Location: Westminster, CO (Projects throughout Denver Metro)

Employment Type: 6‑Month Contract-to-Hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–4:30 PM

Join a leading tunneling and boring contractor specializing in horizontal auger boring, pipe ramming, hand tunneling, slip lining, and tunnel rehabilitation . We are currently working on a high‑impact hand tunneling project beneath Flatirons Mall in Westminster , repairing concrete pillars that support major mall infrastructure.

This role offers consistent, long-term work across Colorado and opportunities for career growth in a highly specialized trade.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Construction Technician to support underground hand‑tunneling operations on a team of 2–3. This position involves labor-intensive tasks in challenging environments and offers the chance to develop skills with heavy equipment and tunneling operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand tunneling as part of a small, collaborative crew.

• Excavate to expose and assist in the repair of concrete support pillars .

• Operate heavy machinery including skid steers, loaders, and excavators (training available if needed).

• Take initiative on physically demanding tasks and demonstrate leadership qualities.

• Maintain safe work practices in an underground, confined-space environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of general labor experience .

• Ability or willingness to learn heavy equipment operation .

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and initiative.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience operating or moving heavy equipment .

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
