Welder - 2nd Shift

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Welder - 2nd Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD!

The hours for this role are 2 pm - 10 pm.

The hourly rate for this position is $33.50 per hour.

What you'll do:

• Achieve and maintain a minimum welding certification in Inconel, Stainless Steel, and titanium

• Fabricate details and duct assemblies by scribing, cutting and grinding to tight tolerances.

• Work in accordance with general safety rules and practices.

• Keep immediate work area clean and free from hazards.

• Ensure the conformance of finish parts to drawings and specification.

• Participate in continuous improvement of processes.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Weld details and ducting system.

• Fit and Weld all Class parts

• Train other welders and fitters

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualification:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution.

• One of the following is required:

• Minimum of one year of experience in Gas Tungsten Arc welding on Inconel and/or Stainless with thickness ranging from .020 to .125;

• Completion of welding degree/certification from an accredited institution.

• Experience with band saw, belt sander, chop saw, rotary tools/grinders and hand held inspection tools (i.e. calipers, micrometers, pi tape, loops, etc.)

• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Skills:

• Strong math skills and ability to read/interpret engineering drawings.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate amongst teams

• Certification to AWS specification D17.1 is necessary.

• Strong visual inspection skills are required.

• Position requires the ability to be exposed to oil, dirt, and heat.

• Ability to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis and ability to stand up to 8 hours a day with or without reasonable accommodations.
