Job Overview

A Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse is needed for a critical access hospital supporting LDRP, Mother/Baby, Couplet Care, and Nursery patients. This role is ideal for nurses with broad perinatal experience who are comfortable working across the full birth continuum in a small, community-focused setting. First-time travelers are welcome.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery, LDRP, Mother/Baby, and Nursery units
Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean section recoveries
Perform neonatal care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring
Deliver postpartum and couplet care
Support antepartum patients as needed
Accurately document patient care using the EMR system
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe maternal and neonatal outcomes

Requirements

Active New Mexico or Multi-State RN license (required at submission)
BLS, ACLS, NRP required
AWHONN Intermediate certification required
Experience in LDRP/Mother-Baby/Couplets/Nursery required
Proficiency with Meditech or similar EMR preferred
Must be able to work weekends
