Job Description:

The Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 prior travel assignments in L&D postpartum, nursery, Mother/Baby
• Flexible to float to other units as facility needs apply
• ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications required
• PALS required (can be procured within 30 days of start if needed)
• AWHONN preferred (can be completed onsite)
