Job Type: Full-Time Work Model: Onsite

Shift: 12-Hour Day & Night Shifts

Key Responsibilities

Obstetrics & Labor/Delivery Nursing Care

• Provide direct nursing care for obstetric and labor & delivery patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery
• Assist physicians and care teams during childbirth procedures
• Support postpartum recovery and newborn care activities
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records

Patient Assessment & Clinical Support

• Perform patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
• Respond appropriately to emergent obstetric situations
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Support patient education and discharge planning

Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate with:
  • Physicians
  • Neonatal teams
  • Obstetrics staff
  • Ancillary departments
• Maintain strong communication with patients and families
• Promote patient-centered, compassionate care

Compliance & Safety

• Maintain compliance with hospital nursing standards and regulatory requirements
• Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols
• Maintain BLS and NRP certifications
• Support quality improvement and patient care initiatives

Must-Have Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Current BLS Certification – American Heart Association
• Current NRP Certification – American Academy of Pediatrics
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Strong obstetrics and patient care skills
• Ability to work 12-hour Day & Night shifts onsite in Santa Rosa, CA

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Labor & Delivery nursing experience in high-volume acute care hospitals
• Experience with maternal/newborn patient care
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
• Strong patient education and communication skills
• Experience in fast-paced hospital environments
