Job Title: Lumber Yard Forklift and Delivery Job Description

Join our team at a lumber yard where you will play a crucial role in loading trucks for the delivery of building materials and managing customer will calls. Your ability to identify and organize materials effectively will be key, as not everything is perfectly labeled or organized. During quieter times, you will assist in organizing the yard, cleaning up, and performing tasks like moving snow.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks with building materials for delivery.

• Fulfill customer will calls efficiently.

• Identify and organize materials in the yard.

• Assist with yard organization and cleanup during slower periods.

• Speak with customers and address their needs when required.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in operating a forklift.

• Basic knowledge of building materials.

• Ability to perform general labor tasks.

• Experience in material handling and loading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Effective communication skills.

• Basic computer skills.

• A clean driving record to facilitate material delivery to jobsites.

Work Environment

Work primarily takes place outdoors in the lumber yard and shop, with frequent opportunities to interact with the office staff, sales team, and delivery drivers. Enjoy a blend of outdoor work and indoor tasks as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Paynesville, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
