The Quality Technician provides technical services within a specialized discipline, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, condition, and quality of operations, machinery, functions, or activities. This role involves overseeing processes, leading teams or projects, and providing technical expertise under the guidance of the Functional Manager or Engineer. The technician determines the manner and sequence of operations, set-ups, processing, and scheduling within their authority and may direct associates in these activities. Additionally, the position involves compiling records, creating charts, communicating results, preparing composite reports, studying and standardizing procedures for efficiency, and addressing errors and complaints with corrective procedures.
Responsibilities
- Oversee operations, machinery, functions, or activities to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Lead teams, processes, or projects as authorized by the Functional Manager.
- Determine and direct the manner and sequence of operations and processing.
- Direct processing of parts and equipment.
- Compile and prepare records, charts, and communication of results and data.
- Prepare composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
- Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency.
- Address errors and complaints, and suggest and implement corrective procedures.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in shop mathematics.
- Ability to read and interpret complicated drawings, specifications, charts, and tables.
- Experience with various types of precision measuring instruments.
- 1 to 3 years of applied trades training.
- Over 1 year up to and including 3 years of relevant experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Computer skills, including Excel.
- Experience with measuring instruments.
- Proficiency in quality control, inspection, and measurement.
- Knowledge of quality assurance and GMP.
- Laboratory skills and experience with calipers.
- Blueprint reading and micrometer usage.
- Quality check and SOP knowledge.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
