Job Description:

The Structural Steel Field Welder is a hands-on responsible for structural steel welding in accordance with AWS and project specifications. All welding is done at construction sites across the Minneapolis metro area

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural welding in accordance with AWS D1.1 and project requirements

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols

• Perform steel framing installation using cranes, including bar joists and metal roof decking

• Stick or SMAW welding 7018 or 6011

• Misc Metals installation handrails, guard rails, steel stringer stairs, or mezzanines.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-5+ years of structural steel welding experience

• 2–3+ years of experience leading crews in a foreman or lead role

• Strong, working knowledge of AWS D1.1 structural welding standards

• Proficient in SMAW and/or FCAW welding processes

• Advanced ability to read blueprints and weld symbols

• Ability to work at heights and in outdoor conditions year-round

Nice to Have:

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

• AWS Certified Welder and/or CWI certification

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
