Position Overview

PrideStaff is proud to partner with a prominent Placer County company seeking a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented Upholstery Sewing Machine Operator to join their manufacturing and production team.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience sewing furniture upholstery and is highly comfortable working with a diverse range of premium materials, including fabrics, heavy vinyl, and genuine leather. We are looking for a dedicated, long-term employee who takes immense pride in their craftsmanship, maintains a strong work ethic, and brings a collaborative attitude to their production floor.

Key Responsibilities

Industrial Machine Operations: Safely and efficiently operate industrial sewing machines to sew precision upholstery for various furniture pieces.
Component Assembly: Sew, assemble, and finish upholstery components in strict accordance with engineering designs and project specifications.
Material Management: Measure, cut, and handle fabric, vinyl, and leather materials with extreme accuracy to minimize waste and prevent damage.
Quality Assurance: Inspect raw materials for defects before cutting/sewing, and perform meticulous quality checks on finished pieces to ensure company standards are consistently met.
Pattern & Spec Compliance: Review and follow production patterns, specific measurements, and technical work instructions.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic daily adjustments, threading, and routine maintenance on industrial sewing equipment to ensure peak performance.
Team Collaboration: Work closely alongside upholsterers and production team members to hit daily manufacturing deadlines.
Workspace Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience sewing furniture upholstery is required.
Material Expertise: Demonstrated experience working with heavy-duty fabrics, vinyl, and leather.
Equipment Familiarity: Prior experience operating heavy-duty industrial sewing machines is highly preferred.
Technical Precision: Exceptional attention to detail, steady hands, and precision sewing skills for clean lines and seams.
Autonomy & Teamwork: Ability to interpret instructions and work independently while maintaining a team-focused mindset.
Professionalism: Reliable, punctual, and seeking a stable, long-term employment opportunity.
