Advanced Cardiovascular Nurse - Nursing Magnet at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, CA. This is a full-time, day shift position.
The Advanced Cardiovascular Nurse is a clinical leader with advanced skills and knowledge in designated clinical areas. Functions independently as a role model, clinician, educator, patient/family advocate, consultant, leader, and researcher. Plans and provides formal and informal education programs necessary to improve professional and technical competence of nursing staff to improve the quality and the delivery of care. Is accountable for the clinical, quality, and financial outcomes for a defined patient population. Initiates and facilitates multidisciplinary care teams in review, analysis, and change in clinical practice.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

California Registered Nurse License (active)?
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certified?
Do you have certification from a national professional specialty organization, or will you obtain it within 3 years of hire?
Do you have at least 3 years of experience as an RN in Cardiac ICU within a hospital setting?
Does your cardiac ICU experience include managing cardiogenic shock and the use of mechanical circulatory support (MCS) devices?
Do you have experience with advanced cardiac therapies (Impella, IABP, ECMO)?
Have you supported cardiac services (education, policy, EKG, 12-lead, EP, arrhythmia treatments, etc.)?
Do you have open-heart surgical experience?
Do you have experience with Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) and/or clinical research?
