Automation Technician, 2nd Shift

The general work schedule is 5 days a week, 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Job Responsibilities:
• Performs high-level machine and systems troubleshooting and repair
• ssists engineering and plant team members with the specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems
• Provides technical support for all phases of the operation
• ll team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety
• Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations
• ttends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)
• Performs other duties, as assigned

Job Requirements:
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Training beyond High School including either an Associate's Degree (AS) in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience that can include skilled trades programs or military training. Certifications in any technical field or techniques is a plus
• t least four (4) years of automation experience and/or industrial maintenance experience
• Requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters including electricity and electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes
• Basic computer skills to navigate systems and perform data entry
• Must have strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniques

Ability to read, understand, and interpret product specifications Must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP Maintenance

• bility to climb up and down stairs/ladders to get to/from work areas, and work at elevated levels of various heights and in confined spaces, if needed
• Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching above, across, and below, and at shoulder level
• bility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level
• bility to perform repetitive motions, flex/grip with wrists/hands, and use tools (e.g., box knife, metal scraper)
• bility to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, steel-toed boots, and gloves
