Our Private Client Services group is expanding and looking to add an experienced Senior Associate (ideally 6+ years post-J.D.) to a collaborative and active practice. We seek someone with outstanding document drafting skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong interest in advanced wealth transfer planning. Prior hands-on involvement in probate court proceedings and post-death administration of estates and trusts is essential. An advanced degree in tax law is highly valued.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and revise sophisticated planning documents such as wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, advance directives, and ancillary instruments
Advise individual and institutional clients through all phases of estate settlement and trust administration, including court filings, accountings, asset collection, and distributions
Perform tax research and draft analyses on estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer, and income tax issues
Assist partners in designing and implementing tax-advantaged strategies for ultra-high-net-worth clients and multi-generational families
Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, executors, trustees, accountants, and investment advisors
Support junior team members through guidance and participate in group development efforts as needed

Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited institution
At least six years of relevant experience in wealth planning, estate administration, and related taxation at a law firm
Tax LL.M. strongly preferred
Active New York bar admission required; additional admission in New Jersey and/or Florida is a significant plus
Excellent organizational abilities with proven capacity to handle competing deadlines accurately
Self-motivated, collaborative approach with comfort working both independently and as part of a team
