Large Forklift Operator

Large Forklift Operator - $21-23/hr
This is a temp-to-hire position
Integrity Trade Services is seeking an experienced forklift operator for a pipe yard in Hammond, Indiana. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant exeperience.
Responsibilities:
• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
• Wear the proper safety equipment at all times
• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manage
Location: Hammond, IN
Schedule/Shift Details:

• Monday-Friday

• 7:30am - 4:30pm

• OT and extra days as needed

Qualifications • 3 - 5 years of warehouse related experience in shipping and receiving
• 3+ years of forklift experience
• Forklift Certification required
• Experience handling pipe (both carbon and stainless steel) a plus
• Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
• Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed
• Qualified applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• A minimum of 40 hours per week
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience on Sit-Down Forklift, Stand-up Reach Truck or Picker preferred
• Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs. occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
