Agricultural Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Service Technician to perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on grain dryer systems and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, repair or replace faulty components, and ensure safety and efficiency standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on grain dryer systems and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Repair or replace faulty components to minimize downtime during critical harvest periods.
• Conduct testing and calibration of equipment to ensure safety and efficiency standards are met.
• Document service activities, repairs, and maintenance performed on each unit.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new grain drying systems as needed.
• Collaborate with farm operators and management to schedule service visits and provide technical support.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical expertise.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including the use of ohmmeters for circuit testing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, motors, sensors, and control panels.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple service calls efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience working with grain drying systems or related agricultural machinery is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; willingness to travel to various locations as needed.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windom, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
