The Quality Control Inspector is a vital role dedicated to maintaining high quality standards for customers through rigorous dimensional checks on all running parts. Working primarily with hand-held equipment and blueprints, the inspector performs in-process inspections at start-up, shut-down, and scheduled intervals throughout the shift. Key responsibilities include identifying and containing defective parts, moving nonconforming items to the designated NC area, and creating detailed Material Review Boards (MRBs) to document specific issues. The inspector also researches defects using tools like the last shot library and Production Instruction Multi Media (PIMM), ensuring that any quality issues are fully resolved if production continues.+4
Beyond technical inspections, this position supports the broader production team by ensuring operators understand work instructions and tally sheets. The role involves collaborative tasks such as providing breaks to operators and backing up the finished goods auditor through visual inspections and part weighing when time permits. Success in this position requires communication, decision-making, and organizational skills, as well as the initiative to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
salary: $20 - $23 per hour

Responsibilities
- Physical Demands: Candidates must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, perform repetitive movements, and frequently lift or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
- Environment: The workspace involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, occasional plastic fumes, and moderately loud noise levels.
- Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Applicants must possess basic math and computer skills, with a preference for those having plastic injection molding or IQMS experience.
