Job Title: Diesel Mechanic (Evaluation to Hire)
Location: Avoca, NY
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1 Hour Unpaid Lunch)
Compensation: $20-$35 per hour (Based on experience)
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic for a full-time, evaluation-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience and possess their own comprehensive set of tools (full tool chest). If you have OEM training/certification (PAC, CAR, Cummins, Allison), computer diagnostics, or related expertise, that's a big plus!
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnosing issues: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems in diesel engines, components, and systems.
Wheel End Work: Perform tasks related to wheel end repairs and maintenance.
PM Services: Conduct Preventative Maintenance services on diesel vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic (NO ENTRY LEVEL).
Must have your own full set of tools (tool chest worth of tools).
Experience with OEM training/certification (PAC, CAR, Cummins, Allison) is preferred.
Proficiency in computer diagnostics and understanding of diesel engine systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must be a reliable, easy-going individual who is polite and able to interact with customers when necessary.
