Position Overview:
We are looking for skilled Aerospace TIG Welders to join our dynamic team! At GE Aerospace, our Beavercreek facility has been a key player in the aerospace industry for over 70 years, specializing in the manufacturing of gas turbine components. Responsibilities:
- Weld metal components using TIG welding equipment, following blueprints and layouts.
- Adjust welding equipment parameters to achieve the desired electric current and welding specifications.
- Guide the welding torch along the specified weld lines, ensuring proper speed and arc length.
- Perform welding in various positions, including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
- Inspect welds for compliance with specifications, including bead size and overall quality.
- Prepare workpieces by cleaning joints and assembling them into fixtures as needed.
- Utilize a computer daily for communication, accessing drawings, and following instructions.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have a strong understanding of basic math, including fractions and decimals.
- Be able to follow written, oral, and graphic instructions accurately.
- Possess the ability to interpret technical materials and blueprints.
- Complete necessary safety and equipment maintenance training.
- Pass the Elano welding vision test during onboarding and annually thereafter.
- Use standard measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers effectively.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Completion of a formal TIG Welding Training Course or 6 months of relevant experience.
- Successful completion of the Unison-Dayton TIG Welding Assessment.

Additional Information:
- Competitive hourly wage of $24.10 - $30.00 based on experience, with an extra $1.50 premium for night shifts.
- Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and occasionally 50 pounds with assistance.
- Safety is our top priority; we provide protective gear and safety shoe vouchers.
- Work in a climate-controlled environment, understanding that there will be exposure to machines and occasional dust or fumes.
- Possibility of standing long periods, walking, or climbing stairs during operations.
