Stand Up Forklift Operator (2nd Shift $20/hr)

Material Handler

Join an international, family-owned precision metal manufacturing company as a Material Handler. In this role, you will be responsible for the line-side delivery and pick-up of materials, maintaining truck wells, organizing pallets, and managing cardboard waste. This fast-paced position requires you to be available throughout your shift to support the production floor. You will maintain and control the movement of stock from warehouse locations to the production floor, and organize customer containers.

Responsibilities:

• Support production (50%)
• Organize inventory (30%)
• Perform miscellaneous duties (20%)

Essential Skills:

• 2 years of warehouse experience
• 2 years of stand-up forklift experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with stand-up electric forklifts
• Chauffeur's license

Work Environment:

Work in a fast-paced yet clean environment where you will handle the manufacturing of metal exhaust systems for automotive manufacturers. Be prepared for consistent loud noises from automated tube benders, welding machines, and material handling robots. The dress code requires compliance with all PPE and safety requirements, including wearing steel-toe shoes at all times in the plant. Safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection will be provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, MI.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
