Maintenance Mechanic

Guardian Glass is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic at our DeWitt, IA plant. Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for ensuring that plant equipment and facilities are kept in good electrical/mechanical repair and working order, enabling a continuous production mode.

The facility operates on a multi-shift schedule to maintain continuous production. Both 10-hour and 12-hour shifts are utilized. Specific shift assignments will be determined at the time of hire based on operational needs and may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 an hour based on experience

Set up and operate equipment and tools required to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs

Assist with troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, production support equipment, and facility systems, including building and grounds

Maintain operational equipment to achieve optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency

Experience in maintenance within an industrial, military, agricultural, or manufacturing environment

Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications

Two (2) or more years of maintenance experience in an industrial, military, agricultural, or manufacturing environment

Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical machine drawings.
