Welder Overview: The Welder perform various types of weld preparation,
welding and weld finishing operations to fabricate
product to customer drawings, specifications, or
other forms of instruction

Welder Pay: $22-27/hour based on skills and experience (Coon Rapids, MN)

Welder Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Welder Key Requirements:

3 years welding/fabrication experience
???????Capable and willing to become certified in MIG, Stick, GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW per AWS
2-year degree in welding preferred
Ability to MIG and Stick weld on various alloys
Successful completion of an internal welding test
Knowledge of welding stainless and fabricating parts within tight tolerances
Ability to read blue prints and do set ups
Strong experience in operating a variety of fabrication tools such as drills, shears, presses, reading blueprints, precision measuring tools, etc.
Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum and some exotic materials
Working knowledge of fixturing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
Experience using conventional and precision measuring instruments
Ability to verify and maintain parameters, perform quality checks and work at a fast pace to meet production schedules
Advanced math and mechanical aptitude
Attention to detail
Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes
Strong team player and ability to multi-task
Ability to proactively manage changes in project scope
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a variety of physical conditions
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Welder Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret drawings, layouts, blueprints, diagrams, or work orders in preparation for welding, cutting and fabricating metal components
???????Inspect finished work pieces for conformance to specifications and package for shipping
Monitor work progress in accordance with work schedule deadlines and specifications
Maintain care of hand tools and welding equipment
Maintain safety records
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area
