Job Title
Direct or perform installation, adjustment, regulation, replacement, and operation of facilities and Radioactive Liquid Waste systems safety devices, meters, gages, and alarms.
Direct systems valve line-ups to prescribed operational parameter requirements and control work functions within the facilities.
Estimate and report on expected time of completion of work and maintain records of work accomplishments.
Distribute and balance workload among employees to accomplish timely completion of work.
Generate and process special reports, quality control documentation, training plans, and work related forms.
Provide written work instructions, reference materials, and supplies to employees.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
You will be required to work onboard ships.
You will be required to climb ladders and scaffolding.
You will be required to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 60 pounds in weight, occasionally more than 60 pounds.
Ability to lead or supervise.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
