Project Overview
Highly skilled manufacturing professional with over 5 years of experience in chemical processing and laser scribe operations. Proven expertise in multi-machine operation, precision measurement, blueprint interpretation, and compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Adept at preparing and maintaining treating solutions, operating process tank equipment, and performing inspections to ensure product quality. Strong background in training peers, supporting continuous workflow, and maintaining required certifications. Flexible to work across shifts, overtime, and weekends, with a track record of meeting demanding production schedules while ensuring safety and quality excellence.
Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Set up, support, and produce high-quality products.
- Create and maintain a highly productive work environment.
- Plan, check, and establish work sequences to fabricate, assemble, and inspect hardware per engineering and quality control requirements.
- Perform multi-tasking and multi-machine operations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, air tools, scanners, and computers to prioritize and complete assignments.
- Perform pickup, touch-up, rework, part marking, and incorporate product changes as required.
- Work from prints, sketches, specifications, and verbal/written instructions.
- Maintain certifications, qualifications, licenses, or permits as required.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment (calipers, scales, etc.) for self-inspection of in-process and finished work.
- Complete Factory Data Acquisition (FDAQ) per work instructions.
- Perform routine minor machine maintenance (filters, lubrication, coolant levels, etc.).
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, technique sheets, and work orders.
- Move products within shop-defined areas using assigned equipment.
- Verify part dimensions using mechanical and electronic precision tools.
- Perform inspection MVP, including first-part review of fabricated parts and assemblies.
- Document and initiate non-conforming conditions.
- Ensure compliance with FOD, Hazmat, OSHA, and QMS processes.
Skills:
- Chemical processing (minimum 5+ years of experience).
- Laser scribe operation and precision work.
- Multi-machine and multi-tasking operations.
- Use of hand tools, power tools, air tools, scanners, and computers.
- Preparation and maintenance of treating solutions (Anodic, Dow Metal, Airok, etc.).
- Operation of process tank equipment for selective metal removal and paint prep.
- CAD plating of parts, materials, and tools to exact tolerances.
- Skin polishing of mechanically fastened aircraft assemblies.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, technique sheets, and work orders.
- Performing pickup, touch-up, rework, and part marking.
- Incorporating engineering changes into products.
