Maintenance Technician

2nd Shift Maintenance Technicians

Gpac is working with a well-established national food manufacturer that is seeking 2nd Shift Maintenance Technicians at their facilities in western Kentucky.

2nd Shift - 2:30pm to 11:30pm Monday through Friday

Duties and responsibilities:

• Machine maintenance, breaking down equipment when needed, helping to adjust and set up equipment for daily production.
• Overseeing preventative maintenance, which includes daily and weekly inspection of all machinery.
• Light plumbing, electrical, welding and carpentry when needed
• Work with the Maintenance Manager to recommend machine upgrades to boost efficiency
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

• Experience with food packaging machines is required. Examples: Multivac Tray Sealers, Multivac Thermoforms, Weber (high-speed) Slicers and other equipment
• Experience with process equipment such as Weber Slicers, Pick and Pack Automation is required
• Advanced mechanical and electrical skills
• Able to read engineering schematics such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic
• Experienced in HVAC a plus
• Pneumatic Equipment
• Excellent communication skills.
• Work in a refrigerated environment

Schedule:

• Fixed daily hours Monday - Friday
• Occasional overtime/weekend work as needed.
