Job Summary

Night Shift 5:30pm-5:30AM Operates and monitors steam boilers, deaerators, DI water systems, and other critical facility equipment such as air compressors, air dryer, cooling towers, nitrogen supply and pump packages. Takes periodic water quality measurements and adjusts water treatment chemical pumps.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Boiler Operator monitoring of boiler and other critical facilities.

• Inspection and monitoring of plant utilities; walk rounds of facility to take readings and record observations of anomalies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• 0-2 yrs working in an industrial environment

• Drivers license required.

• Speaks English

• Mechanical background and detail oriented

Able to read gauges and thermometers.

Speaks clearly and distinctly for plant pages and announcements.

Works in a hot environment at times.

Follows procedures precisely.

Able to learn through hands on approach

Extreme reliability to report for duty on assigned shifts.

Physical Demands

Able to lift 50 pounds. Be physically fit enough to do plenty of walking and to safely ascend/descend stairways and vertical ladders during rounds twice per shift.

Work Environment

Work in an extreme environment, hot summer and cold winter season.

Geographic Disclosure

Compensation Range: $21/hr - $25/hr
