Job Description

As a Quality Inspector, you will interpret inspection requirements and standards, mentor and train inspection personnel, and prioritize daily material inspection tasks. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of continuous improvement through 5S and Lean disciplines, ensuring that standard operating procedures are followed. (Temp To Hire Role)

Responsibilities

• Interpret inspection requirements and standards as required by the inspection team.

• Mentor and train inspection personnel.

• Prioritize and manage daily material inspection tasks to optimize flow.

• Foster 5S and Lean disciplines within the inspection team.

• Ensure standard operating procedures are followed.

• Substitute for the supervisor in their absence.

• Recommend adjustments to operating standards and inspection methods to optimize flow.

• Support MRB, First Article, Metric development, and special projects as directed.

Essential Skills

• Quality inspection experience, including the use of micrometers and measuring tools.

• Proficiency in both plastic and metal testing.

• Strong attention to detail and quality assurance knowledge.

• Ability to interpret blueprints.

• Proficiency in computer systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Expertise in IPC solder requirements and mechanical measurement techniques.

• 6+ years of related experience.

• High School Diploma required, BA preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with a casual dress code. Choose between 1st shift (5:30 am - 2:00 pm) and 2nd shift (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm). The facility offers a modern break room with microwaves, refrigerators, self-serve kiosks, and both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with multiple TVs and a focus on employee comfort.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
