Job Full Description

A manufacturing company in Struthers is looking for an eperienced Manual Machinist to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Machine electric motor armature shafts, including tapering and threading
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings to produce parts with precise tolerances
• Set up and operate various machines, including lathes, milling machines, and drill presses, to produce components to specifications
• Perform threading operations using lathes and milling machines
• Identify and understand steel types, properties, and characteristics to determine appropriate machining processes
• Complete machining reports and maintain accurate paperwork
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards
• Assist with general laborer duties and provide support to the Brake Division as required
• Minimum of 1 year of machining experience (preferred)

Skills:

• Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and dimensional tolerances
• Proficiency in operating lathes, milling machines, and drill presses
• Knowledge of steel properties and machining techniques
• Familiarity with operating overhead cranes and forklifts (certification preferred)

Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm

Pay Rate: $23-$25/hour based on experience/certifications
