Job Description

An Architectural Sheet Metal Installer fabricates, assembles, and installs a wide range of custom metal components used in building exteriors and architectural features. This role combines craftsmanship, precision, and problem-solving to create high-quality metal systems that enhance both the function and appearance of commercial, industrial, and residential structures.

Responsibilities

• Install architectural sheet metal systems, including wall panels, roof panels, flashings, gutters, downspouts, trim, fascia, soffits, and decorative metal elements.

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.

• Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.

• Safely operate machinery such as brakes, shears, rollers, and soldering equipment.

• Ensure installations meet project requirements, building codes, and quality standards.

• Perform layout and field measurements to ensure accurate fit and alignment.

• Work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts while following all safety protocols.

• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.

• Troubleshoot installation challenges and provide solutions on-site.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.

Essential Skills

• Experience in architectural sheet metal installation or related construction trades.

• Ability to read construction drawings and follow technical instructions.

• Strong understanding of metal types, fasteners, sealants, and installation techniques.

• Proficiency with sheet metal fabrication tools and equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, foremen, and other trades.

Work Environment

Work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, requiring physical activity such as lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Travel to multiple job sites is necessary. Safety is a top priority, requiring adherence to all safety protocols while working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60320.00/yr.
